ORDWAY RODERIC EDWARD ORDWAY On Friday, September 24, 2010 "Butch" Ordway of Washington, DC, died of leukemia. He is survived by his beloved wife of 24 years, Nancy Bradford Ordway. He is also survived by nephews Michael and Charles Roddy. He was preceded in death by four siblings, Albert, Manina, and Godwin Ordway and Claire Ordway Roddy. A graduate of West Point, Ric Ordway served in the U.S. Army, retiring as a Colonel after 22 years of service, including deployments in Vietnam and Korea. Following his military service, Ric worked in the business sector for 30 years, retiring as a financial advisor from Lafayette Investments in 2010. Butch will be deeply missed by his treasured Godchildren, all his grandnieces and grandnephews, and a wide range of wonderful friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call at Joseph Gawler''s Sons, Inc., 5130 Wisconsin Avenue, NW (corner of Harrison Street) Washington, DC on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Internment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA at a later date. Memorial contributions in Ric''s name may be made to Foundation for Georgetown University Hospital at: Hospital Administration, 1 Main, 3800 Reservoir Road NW, Washington, DC 20007 (Supporting the Lombardi Cancer Center, Adult Hematology.)
