Be Thou At Peace

We used to call him "Squeeks" because he was such a quiet guy; he was also a very, very nice person. We'd chat from time-to-time in the gym...he spent a lot of time there as the gymnastics team rope-climber and I as a wrestler. As John Bradley commented in his eulogy, he was a spectacular rope-climber.

I think of you a lot Squeaks. I try to visualize what happened on that terrible night in January 1971 when you were killed in such an unconscionable way by an American soldier in Vietnam. It's still hard to believe; what a terrible loss. God be with you Squeaks...
