Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Paul Vanture on February 26, 2008:

At our Camp Buckner summer training after plebe year, Barrie, John Stone, and I were assigned to 6th Company. When our company won the physical fitness test competition, our reward was a trip to New York City to see the Yankees play the Boston Red Sox. After the game, Barrie, John, and I went looking for a place to eat. We were in our dress whites, with two A-1 flankers walking on each side of a B-2 runt. We received quite a few stares from people as they passed, but one gentleman gave me a puzzled look. I pointed at Barrie and John and said, "They are my body guards."
