Fred: I won't forget our first meeting in 1949 when your Darmstadt Elementary School basketball team waxed our Mannheim Elementary School team, largely because of your athletic prowess. We crossed paths again in Beast Barracks, throughout our four years at West Point, at Fort Knox and Fort Benning. You were ever characterized by high energy, a fighting spirit, good humor and warm companionship. God bless you. You fought the good fight. You will be sorely missed. Paul Schonberger |
