Be Thou At Peace

| Companies D2 and E2 were neighbors in North Area and I encountered Dick Welch often. After graduation we were both artillery commanders in southern Germany and shared some great contact. Later we stayed in touch and after we both retired we worked for technology service companies in northern VA. Elaine and I enjoyed overnight stays at their beautiful waterfront home on the Eastern Shore. With that history, I can say that Dick was the true gentlemen and friend -- one of the best. We will miss him very much. |
