| Tomorrow it will be one year since you left this world. All day I've felt your spirit hovering over me. It's as if you're trying to step back for a brief moment into those combat boots I remember you polishing so meticulously every night of the week. I suspect it's hard for you to live now simply as a spirit floating through time and space. For you made a difference in your earthly form: man, father, soldier, leader. But I hope you'll take comfort in the legacy you left behind, and know in your heart that you will never be forgotten, that you will always be loved. |
