Be Thou At Peace

I remember Frank well, but only as a Cadet. We met each other when we were in Summer Training at Camp Buckner together. He quickly proved himself to be a gregarious guy, ready to help anyone who needed assistance, and genuinely concerned about you, once he regarded you as a friend. Frank was normally a quiet fellow, but he had a great sense of humor -- and he laughed loudest when the joke was on him. Many times. We parted ways after graduation -- and our paths never crossed again -- not even in Vietnam, although we were posted in that war-torn country at the same time. He served his Army, while I served mine. Well done, amigo! Be thou at peace! And now, my farewell salute to an all-around nice guy. Ray Brigadier General Ramon M.
