I was Captain Szekely's senior aid man when he died. I remember when he arrived in our company, a replacement for a very popular company commander. He tried his best to integrate with the men but infantry men need time to adjust to leadership. He was very close to acceptance. His death was all too quick. The human wave attack never seemed to end. God rest his soul and that of Tom Roberts, his RTO. Both good men. Doc Cotta |
