| Howie was one of the benchmarks of our class. If you looked around and he was in your section, you were doing very well academically. As a Cadet, he was so mature compared to most of us. He tended to be quiet, but when he spoke, it was time to listen. We roomed together in Kitzingen on AOT in the summer of 1963. I got to know him even better, and my respect for him grew. He was just one of those guys who would do well at anything he chose. Howie, thanks for the friendship... |
