David Alan White, Jr. - SAVANNAH - David Alan White, Jr., 65, died October 2, 2007. He was born on February 18, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in Owosso, Michigan. He received an appointment to the United States Military Academy at West Point and graduated in the class of 1964. After serving his country he received an MBA from the University Of Pennsylvania Wharton School Of Business where he met his future wife, Cathy. The couple moved to Houston, Texas where Dave began a long career with Cooper Industries, headquartered there. After thirty-two years with Cooper, Dave retired as Sr. Vice-President in Mergers and Acquisitions. The couple retired to Savannah in 2003. Dave was a member of the Landing's Club and St. Peter's Episcopal Church. He is survived by his wife, Cathy, son, Christopher and daughter-in-law, Elizabeth of Pooler, Georgia, and son, John, of Austin, Texas. Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 5, 2007 at St. Peter's Episcopal Church.
