Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Carole Joan lohrey on September 26, 2007:

The saddest memory I have of Michel is his funeral at the point. it has been almost 40 years, and knowing his family from Dumont, New Jersey my heart broke. Time has tempered this with the wonderful fun filled days of laughter and two years good times we spent together while he was Aide de Camp to General Bennett at West Point. Michel was a wonderful person that I loved so much as a very young girl. Michel opened up a world I would have never known.
Michel was special in many ways - his love of family, and of course, his country and West Point. It is very warming to know that your parents named your brother after him. I think I remember your father, was he from NJ also? Sorry about Marilyn. She attended Katherine Gibbs also, and I know things were never ever the same. I think his parents died of a broken heart. He was so loved.
