Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Robert Park on March 5, 2010:

Mike and I were friends and neighbors who attended Dumont High School together. I could tell he was a special person then. We went away to college, then he to West Point and I to the Marines. I was shocked to hear of his demise when I returned to Dumont in 1968. Mike, of all the people I've met in my life, you are the one person I carry a deep sadness about. You had so much more to give to the world. It's forty-two years later and I'm very happy to have found this location to let you know how proud I am of you. I'm very, very sorry that I don't have the opportunity to tell you this to your face. I'm saddened more people did not get the chance to experience Mike Nawrosky. And I can't tell you how happy I am, Mike, to be able to get this off my chest. I've carried this around for too long. RIP my friend.
