Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Stan Fracker on October 8, 2008:

Barry and I were at Fort Knox together in 1969-70. He and his wife, Carol, took pity on my wife one evening when I was involved in a night training exercise with OCS Candidates. They offered to take her to the Office Club for Bingo Night. Perhaps it was a coincidence or perhaps my wife was a good luck charm for them (as well as me) because they won the big prize of the month - a brand new Chevrolet Camero. It once again proved to me that good things happen to good people. Barry and Carol were "good people". We were all very busy at that time so didn't get to socialize that much. Barry was an intense person. He put everything into doing what we were trained to do - accomplish the mission and take care of your men. May he rest in peace.
