Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Christine Colburn on August 18, 1999:

I was so incredibly saddened when I Heard of Jim's passing! Met "Moose", in 1968 at Ft. Benning.I had just arrived from Australia to reunite with Toby!We married soon thereafter and purchased a new house in the heat of the Georgia summer, and Toby with lot's of help from "Moose, and Jerry Palma, set about trying to put in a lawn?? What a riot!! aLL Three were sadly lacking in the Horticulture Dept!! But they consumed lot's of beer, and gave each other a lot of advice!!I was also introduced to the N.F.L.and I remember asking 'Moose',"Who is Bart Starr? And why are they wearing all that padding?" Everyone laughed hysterically, but "Moose took the time to explain the game to me, and I've been a big fan ever since! I also remember when he met Mary Jo, he was on cloud nine!!You'll be remembered alway's 'Moose".You were one of a kind!!
