Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Jack Price on August 17, 2004:

I was in B2 with Jim for the first two years. What a company we had! I came in without graduating from HS with a boost from Columbian Prep in DC.

Gantsoudes, Culp, Perkins, Grubbs.. all these guys seemed to have their collective acts so much more together than I did. Ah, but Jim! He was special! He was BIG, muscles on top of muscles. He wore plebehood like an actors mask, hiding a big grin, and all too cheerful attitude.... for a plebe!

I know today is a day of sadness with this news, but as I go through memories of Jim, it is more a case of being flooded with warm memories than tears of sorrow. He leaves firm footprints in the sands of time! And how lucky we were to walk with him. How could such a strong man leave so soon? It seems out of order, somehow.

May we treasure the family he leaves behind as we have Jim himself.

My prayers are with them

Jack
