I thought of Bill today when I read about a Marine Brigadier General with the same name. I have been unable to learn if there is any relationship there. I served alongside Bill in Hawaii and RVN with the 25th Infantry Division. We reunited later when I was assigned to ROTC at Saint Peter's College in Jersey City and he was stationed at Fort Monmouth, NJ. We got together for a party at Fort Monmouth and later he and his wife and another couple came to Staten Island for a memorable soiree at our apartment. Bill was a good friend and a lot of fun to be around. I have missed him for all these many years. George |
