I didn't know Dick at West Point, but Frankie and I got to know Dick and Audrey when Ski 64 would get together each year to ski and socialize for a week. Friendly, soft spoken, extremely smart, and exceedingly witty...that's what I remember most about Dick. He could make us all smile with the wink of an eye or make us all feel silly/stupid and we would all laugh out loud. He made my son, Mike, feel welcome among us grads as they would converse about things we mere mortals could not follow or understand. He is greatly missed by all who knew him!! |
