Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Stephen E. Draper on September 10, 2012:

A Tribute to Terry

Terry Covington was a lifelong friend. It was with great sadness that I learned of his passing. We were West Point roommates (Class of 1964), served in Vietnam & attended Georgia Tech grad school together. He served as groomsman & sword-bearer in my 1970 wedding.

Terry was a connoisseur of life, which he lived with great enthusiasm. He was a consummate story teller with a remarkable sense of humor. His great sense of style & love for life endeared him to everyone he met. He was one of a kind.

Terry was a dedicated, intelligent & creative Army officer & civilian businessman.

Most of all, Terry was dedicated to & held great love for his country & his family. I feel privileged to have known him.

Rest in peace, my friend.

Stephen
