Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Alan Russo on September 14, 1999:

The smiling face, the jokes, the zest for life, and the bright future were all silenced on that fateful day in Tabor. Don loved that Corvette Fastback. The group of classmates who had bought Corvettes and other sports cars loved the bright sunny spring days after we took delivery in 1964. We would drive for miles to meet around a lake and admire the cars. We saw years of future opportunities to do the same.

What a shock to receive that telephone call in July and hurriedly try to make the connections to get to the funeral site on time. Numbness followed the exhilaration of Graduation Leave.

Don, you were remembered again last weekend at your Class's 35th Reunion. You have never been far from our thoughts. And you never will.
