I first heard of Dee when I worked at the alumni office at the school that succeeded his high school -The Manlius School. His high school roommate Jack wells told stories about Dee that stayed with me and when I think of Vietnam, I think of this young man I never knew whose life was cut short. One of my proudest accomplishments when I worked at Dee's alma mater was helping make sure we erected a (long overdue) Korean and Vietnam memorial for our alumni who made the ultimate sacrifice. Dee's name is among theirs. Be remembering their stories, and honoring their memories, we insure their sacrifices are not forgotten. |
