Seth Foster Hudgins

West Point, 1964

Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Bud Henry on February 10, 2014:

Be thou at Peace, old friend. Rest well knowing that your thoughtful, caring influence and your enduring friendship has had such a huge, positive impact upon West Point, your Classmates of 1964, those you led and mentored so well and all who ever knew you. It is clearly your legacy as a True Son of West Point, Seth.

The wonderful memories are so many and so varied over the last nearly 55 years. From our Cadet days, to our Jump and Ranger School adventures at Benning, reporting in to the 101st at Campbell, the long Cruise on the Good Ship Eltinge to VN with 12 of us 64'ers scrunched in a tiny, but tidy cabin, our days in VN with the 1st Bde in 65-66, and so many, many other memories of your long and illustrious career - with so much of it interwoven with West Point and The Long Gray Line at every level and at every imaginable connection. Thanks.

My sincere condolences to Joy and the Family. Thanks for sharing Seth with us all these many years.

"Live, serve, and die, we pray,
West Point, for thee."

Nobody has done it better, Seth. Rest in peace...
