Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Jack Darrow on February 11, 2014:

I didn't know Seth well while we were cadets. I guess that was the result of the distance between "the Lost 50's" and "New South Area". Luckily I corrected that misfortune by becoming his friend in the years after I left the Army, and he assumed the leadership of the AOG.

Seth was fun to be with, perhaps foretold by his accumulation of "hours on the Area". But beyond being fun, Seth was a consumate soldier-leader, as shown in his military progression, and later as President of the WPAOG. Seth and Joy presided over important formal functions and fun social events during the past 50 years with equal ease.

Above all, Seth's life brightly reflects those words we heard together on May 12, 1962 in the Mess Hall:

DUTY, HONOR COUNTRY

well done my firend. Well Done!
