Be Thou At Peace

Posted by John Harris on September 30, 2014:

As one who served under Seth in the 3rd Platoon I have often thought of him through the years . I was Blessed to have the privilege to converse with him over the last two years and hoped he would make the 2013 reunion in San Diego. He was not healthy enough but encouraged me to go to the only reunion I have ever attended.

Seth was not only our Lt. but our friend. He radiated Brotherly love and concern and stayed focused on the missions and trusted our abilities to do the job in combat.

We had a great bunch of guys fresh out of high school, but heroes every one.

I hope someone has more info on the battle in February 1966 we were in during operation Harrison. Perhaps Seth had a private journal which contains a battle report.

I was there February 7th 1966 but was blown up February 24th, suffered brain damage, and have only scattered memories of this battle. I am trying to preserve a history now for 17th Cav. 101st.
