Bob Michela was the kindest boss I ever worked for. I had the privilege to work for him as he headed the Deep Battle Office in the Pentagon. I saw Bob's leadership in action getting the job done with humor and grace. He looked out for his troops whether they be subordinates or ski trip travelers. I shall never ever forget one of the Adam's picnics a few years ago where he just grabbed my hand and said "I love you, man." That meant so much to me as it was almost as if he was saying "Good Bye." That is why tears streamed down my face when I heard he had died. I will always remember his great sense of humor, and wonderful uplifitng Spirit, and being a perfect gentleman all the time. Our ski trips will never be the same without him, but I know his gentle, kind spirit will be with us. I am glad that Bob is not suffering anymore. I also know the Good Lord will welcome him with open arms and especially to hear his humorous quips when they talk things over. I know Bob will make Him smile; he sure did all of us. I guess by now you know I loved him too. I wish God's peace for his soul, and comfort for Cathy and his family. God bles and keep you Bob Michela. Max Johnson
