Be Thou At Peace

Capt. Neville (alias Toby....the Pineapple) Colburn

You know life is made up of memories, both good and bad. I served under him from Dec 3, 1965 until his departure from us in Nam.

I credit Toby for the wonderful training that he provided for us @ Ft. Lewis for us having such a low KIA count (2) during our Tour of Duty. Our tour ended before the big Battle of Dak To.

I have a blog with a couple photos of Toby that I have posted. One photo is of him sernading us with his guitar back @ Fort Lewis and the color photo was given to be by Bill Bodine to use on my blog. Bill also gave me a photo of Capt. Powers, Lt. Charles Barrett and of Lt. Clayton Johnson, the CO. and 2 Platoon Leaders of our sister Company "C" all KIA in the 2 battles of Plei Doch and Plei Ya Bo. May all 4 of the wonderful guys R.I.P.
