Be Thou At Peace

Posted by George Fonda on June 1, 2014:

Toby and I were stationed in Sydney, Australia for 6 months during the Viet Nam war. We set up the R&R program there. I was the only Naval Officer and Toby along with 2 other officers were from the Army. All 4 of us were single at the time. BUT, within 6 months all four of us got married to Aussie girls. I was the first and Toby was my best man. I'll never forget my bachelor party with Toby as ring leader. With a twinkle in his eye they took me to a "drag" show at "the Cross". He was a great friend for the short time I knew him as the military separated us and we lost touch. I wonder what became of his wife Sue.
