My only connection with Dave was when he worked a "hop" from Steward AFB to Hill Air Force Base for Christmas of 62. His father was running Ogden Depot, and had some "pull" with the local Hill AFB "Zoomies". I think the pilots were reservists. At any rate, I met Dave, my benefactor on that flight, and saw very little of him thereafter. I remember him as a swashbuckling, enterprising guy who later developed those qualities in the many ventures he developed after West Point. Rest in Peace, Dave, and thanks for getting me back to Idaho for Christmas! |
