| I served as LTC Landgraf's driver and later as his S3 Jump TOC driver when he commanded 1-4 Infantry in Aschaffenburg, FRG. He was tough, but fair. I learned a great deal just from observing him commanding his battalion. He wrote a personal recommendation for me to attend ROTC. I attended ROTC and spent the next 30 years as a commissioned officer thanks to him. I will always be indebted to LTC Landgraf. I am so very sorry to hear of the passing of this great leader.
