Ron was my best friend when we were at USMA. In addition, we were friendly competitors at almost everything. We pushed each other to be the best we could be at everything we did. He made me a much better cadet and a person. I hope I had a similar impact on him. He had great intelligence and physical abilities, outstanding character, sincere compassion, and was a great friend.
