Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Ron Walter on September 22, 2013:

With Ed's passing, I have lost much more than a classmate and K-1 company-mate; I have lost a true inspiration both in my business ventures and in my own battle with multiple myeloma. Ed was always there for me with a first-hand account of what to expect; his strength, courage and encouragement were more than critical to my many successes.

Most of all, Ed's infectious personality could always cheer the most despondent of spirits. I could almost see his smile through the telephone when he called to pep me up.

When I last spoke with Ed, he was encouraging me to meet with him at the 50th reunion. He knew he had an even tougher than usual fight ahead of him, but with characteristic determination, he was ready to give it his best.

Ed is in a much better place now, and our thoughts and prayers are for Sue and the rest of the family.
