| Bob and I shared the first two years at WP in Company H-2. He was a jock, and I was not, so we had different focusses. He was one of our best - a likeable, quiet fellow, and a leader by consensus in those days. Who would have guessed that two years later he would be selected as First Captain? But a better choice could not have been made. Our class lost one of its best on Oct 8, 1967, and he has been sorely missed through the years. |
