Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Eric G Martin on May 31, 2021:

It was a summer day in Boston I stopped into a Pub on Commonwealth Ave for a beer. There standing on the bar was a guy in a black satin suit singing old 50's songs with an acoustic guitar. I was involved in the Boston music scene at the time. I said to myself, I have to meet this guy. I bought him a beer and we talked for awhile. Knowing he graduated from West Point and Harvard Law School the image was out of the ordinary to say the least. I invited him back to my apartment in Allston guitar and all. I got my guitar out and we started playing music. Bob became a good friend. We continued with regular music jams. One day he informed me that he had been offered a record deal and wanted me to play on the album and it all happened. The album. Living In The World, Professor Anonymous, (QUARK) BOMP Records. Time went on I left Boston and moved back to Maine. When I learned of his passing the memories all came back. Bob was an amazing person, a good friend and a great guy!!!
