| Although I knew Bruce at USMA, primarily as a squash opponent in intramurals, we became good friends in grad school at Harvard. He and I were actually part of the same "study group" and I remember Bruce was, besides being very bright, always a calming influence in our sometimes raucous discussions and inevitable beer-drinking afterwards. He was always willing to help and had a great, subtle sense of humor. Although I had not seen him in many years, I, as well as many others I am sure, have always remembered him with great respect and admiration. I am fortunate that he touched my life, albeit for far too short a time. |
