| Rick and I were Beast Barracks roommates. I might not have made it through Beast without his help. He was from a military family and I was not. He taught me a lot but the best thing he did for me was introduce me to his father. I think he was an LTC then. I was afraid of every upperclassmen and figured an LTC had to be a real monster. His father changed my opinion of officers and how to deal with Beast. He showed me that it was a game and to deal with it that way. I have often thought about Rick and the thoughts were always positive. My condolences to all his loved ones. |
