| Lowry was always a good friend while we were at the Academy. He was always friendly and smiling most of the time. We became neighbors for our first assignment in Kitzingen, Germany. Mike Connor shared that first assignment and we all became close friends. We used to get together with our wives at times when we weren't in the field. They were a lot of fun times. Then Vietnam got in the way and our fun was basically over. We saw one or the other periodically and then drifted apart. We linked up with Lowry and his wife at the 50th reunion and had a great time reminiscing. Unfortunately, now both of them are gone. They were dear friends and good buddies, and truly will be missed. Rest with God, Lowry. |
