Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Ashley, David and Regan on December 5, 2021:

There are so many memories of Doug over the years. From Quechee where he would dig out sledding tracks and build monster snowmen in the backyard, to fishing with David, Glenn and Pat even converting the garden shed to a playhouse for Emma and Patrick. Then in Redding where he cleared the lower barn for a not-so-haunted house for Abbey and Marguerite and spent many happy hours his barn workshop fixing broken toys and fence rails, carving toy guns for Jay and Nicholas, and building birdhouses for Regan and Ashley. Most memorably he refinished the Farrar heirloom kitchen table for a new life with the next generation.

He was a raccoon and ground hog trapper extraordinaire keeping their garden safe from many an intruder. He even once built a scarecrow! He loved a good backyard bbq, built more bonfires than we could count and loved watching the Yankees (either sitting in the kitchen with James and Gray or making his annual pilgrimage to Yankee Stadium with Diane).

Doug, Grandpa Doug, we will miss you.
