| My close association with Bob started when he joined the Army Swimming Team. He was a fast swimmer and gave depth to the Team. But more than that was his infectious smile and camaraderie. He was always cheerful and cheered everyone else on the Team. I graduated 2 years ahead of him and we never saw each other again. We were assigned to Vietnam at the same time, but our paths never did cross. I learned only today, 39 years later that this great guy met an untimely end in Vietnam. Rest well Bob, you are a great hero. |
