I lived with Bryant from 1990 to 1999. He was a friend, a mentor, and a very good husband. I loved him dearly. His acute sense of the strange and the eccentric kept our relationship alive. I was fairly strange and eccentric. He loved me anyway. It was heartbreaking to hear of his death, and I deeply regret that I did not tell him how much he influenced my path and how much he meant to me. It's rare that an ex-wife would say such extraordinary things, but I don't have any bitterness or anger toward him. I have missed him, and I will continue to strive to keep his hopes for me alive.
