| I am a '66er and was in G2 as a Plebe with Kala as a Yearling. Just want to say, Kala was one of the nicest persons I ever met. Notwithstanding the Plebe-Yearling relationship, Kala and his roommate made Plebe year bearable for me and most of the Plebes in G2. What an absolute gentleman, outstanding cadet and, I am most certain, a truly fine officer. I am not surprised to read the accolades contained in the main page eulogy. Nearly 50 years later, I can say Kala made my introduction to mainstream West Point and life so pleasant. Thanks for the many pleasant memories. Be thou at peace, Kala! |
