| As the youngest brother of John M. Deems, I had heard of the great friend BJ as I grew up. Most of these stories second hand from my other older brother. Although it was years until I was able to finally meet BJ I know he was a great friend to my brother during their time at West Point as roommates, and beyond. It made me feel great to meet someone that had such a close connection to my brother. My heart is heavy after hearing of his passing, as much as when my own brother passed in 2008, a thought I can hardly believe even today. My only hope is there is a heaven and in it you will find these old friends together again, most likely up to no good, pulling pranks or just being friends. Thank you BJ! |
