Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Tommy Taylor on October 20, 2013:

Then LT Keets was CO of my BCT company in 1967. The cycle before me broke the company average PT test required for all to graduate. I found that the cadre and drills to be oriented to provide the best training they could and it was more about accomplishment than the petty stuff one might expect in Basic. We were never harassed. I met LT Keets several times and was impressed with his demeanor and appearance. I was never so shocked to learn he had been KIA some years later. By posting on the Wall web site, I was able to connect CPT Keets brother to the medic that was with him when he was down on the battlefield.
