| Dave, my dear friend, your attitude toward life and people has always been a wonderful and moving inspiration to your family, friends, and anyone who knew you. I was fortunate enough to serve with you in our first assignment in Augsburg after graduation and multiple times thereafter. We all miss your visits, your laughter, your exceptional determination and courage and your caring for others. Strong in every way, forceful yet a humble gentleman who gave every task every ounce of effort one could imagine, you overcame many obstacles others could not. Underneath that rough and ready exterior has always been a loving, devoted sensitive husband, friend, father, and soldier who epitomized the values we cherish. It takes two to tango, and with Patti at your side every step of the way, together you've truly earned the words "WELL DONE. GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT." |
