Somehow the honor of writing the K-1 blurb for the 1965 Howitzer fell to me and Ron. One of the things we set out to do was to make reference by name (or nick name) to each member of the class in K-1. Re-reading it now, I am drawn to one particular tongue-in-cheek sentence which is vintage Ron: "Ron and Johnny decided they deserved a whole sentence to themselves but their minds went blank in an attempt to think of anything immodest to say." (Lost, perhaps, for anyone who did not have the good fortune to know Ron is the irony of that statement...) |
