Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Jim Keating on January 16, 2013:

I'm sorry for such a belated eulogy as I still am having trouble understanding why and how such a good man and fine leader was taken from us.

Nate gave me a shot back in January 1985 to join the MCI sales team in New York City. These were "heady" times as AT&T was beginning to feel some real competition for the largest business accounts. Over the next couple of years we all worked very hard to meet Nate's ever-increasing goals and standards and God-forbid if you fell short. I remember one time having the "joy" of making a major account presentation to Nate + Staff and feeling pretty good about being able to anticipate and answer any and all questions. We were approaching the end of the presentation when Nate, (once again), was able to come up with questions related to the business that no one in the room thought of. And that was the way it always was. He would inspire you to work your tail off and seek the highest levels of achievement and instill in you the will to shoot even higher. He is missed and will always be in our hearts. Prayers and best wishes always to the Kantor family.
