Jack Cooley was a quiet gentle person when I knew him at West Point. Of course, he was second regiment, which meant that I didn't run into him very often, but I do remember him. A great guy. He really had some nice things to say to me a few months back when I had open heart by-pass. His kind words were really appreciated and served as an inspiration to me. I tried to return the favor recently, but I guess I didn't do as good a job as he did for me. It was a great and honored road you traveled, Judge Cooley, and you can be proud of your legacy. Go in Peace, be with God. Your friend, Abe. |
