Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Bruce Clarke on April 7, 2020:

Nate was in the 1st Regiment when we were cadets and I was in the 2d--our paths never crossed. This was also true of our careers. But several years ago I was asked to write the application to get Rollie Stichweh into the Army Athletic Hall of Fame. A task I was honored to take on. It was while doing this that I met Nate by email and phone. Rollie's entry was a passion of his! Though not feeling well he gave me all of the past writing and letters from supporters, he read and proofed all of my drafts. He was a great help and his passion for Rollie's acceptance I am sure was typical of his life. When he set out to accomplish a task he put hie heart and soul into it.
So rest in peace my new and yet old friend may it be said of you WELL DONE.
