Be Thou At Peace

Posted by John Vann on November 29, 2012:

Pat, from the time we were at Ft. Leavenworth together as Army brats when our fathers were stationed there, I remember you as a soft spoken, smart, well-liked man of exceptional character. Your integrity showed through long before you became an honor rep at West Point, and you were always well liked and respected. What a loss to all of us, especially the Army, that you were taken from us so early in a promising career. Your friendly greeting for everyone, ability to turn any situation into an opportunity, and general manner of dealing with people always reminded me of Omar Bradley's approach to people instead of the "Patton" approach, and I'll remember you as a part of a different and inspirational kind of Soldier's Story. You blessed many people during your far-too-short stay with us all, and we appreciate what you showed us. Rest in Peace, dear friend.
