Be Thou At Peace

| I joined Chuck in H-2 our cow year. I coached the intramural football team on which we played firstie year. He was an outstanding player and teammate. We were Brigade runner-up that year in football, largely due to the skills and commitment of Chuck and Curt Churchwell, though there were several other fine athletes on the team as well. I also went with him to Curt Churchwell's wedding in Hope, AR shortly after graduation. We stayed in the Churchwell home, which was pretty crowded the night before the wedding. So Chuck and I slept in the same bed. That was the last time I saw him, may he rest in peace. He was a good man. |
