Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Ed Armstrong on July 9, 2014:

Boris was one of my roommates Cow year and it was a remarkable and gratifying experience. One that I will never or want to forget. I was a guest in his family's home on vacation and dated his sister Vickie, who unfortunately died so young. He had a picture of Harry Belafonte on our fireplace mantel with "To Boris, With Love" written on it. We created competitions to keep from studying. One was simply throwing paper wads in the trash can with extra points for increased degrees of difficulty like blind shots through the door transom. I got behind so Boris said he would give me enough points to win if I could make a shot from the stoop roof outside the window. I made the shot (he said it had to be a hook) but the Officer In Charge caught me and I got five demerits for being outside my room with my card marked. Just another example of Boris' imagination. He was a unique, kind, and generous person and a friend to all. I am so sorry to hear of his passing.
