Jerry and I were high school classmates and we had planned to go to engineering school (together). One day Jerry asked me to take an admissions exam for West Point and I generously declined. After college, I learned that Jerry had been killed in action in Vietnam. Ironically, our son has just entered the USMA Class of 2009, thus, I often remember our friendship. Jerry was a special and wonderful friend. We do miss him. JD |
